Metamorphosis

This sculpture commemorates Pro-100, a six-week program that puts economically disadvantaged teens to work, helping to beautify city parks and schools. This successful 20 year program was created and funded by Eugene Glick, a prominent Indianapolis businessman and philanthropist.

Metamorphosis captures the spirit of Pro-100; the artwork’s curves, colors and soaring qualities lift viewer’s eyes and minds, drawing them forward to discover its origin and connect with its message of hope and humanity. The concept embodies the program’s basic premise – an individual’s innate ability to rise to his or her highest potential through growth from experiences encouraging discipline, consistent work ethic, self-confidence and perseverance.
